Introducing the CREA Services App — Production Management, Built for the Way Creative Work Actually Happens
A new mobile workspace takes aim at the patchwork of tools film, photo, and creative productions have made do with for years.
Ask any director of photography what their Tuesday looks like, and you won't hear about Gantt charts. You’ll hear about a shot list that needs three revisions before Thursday’s call time, a crew member who just dropped out of the Friday shoot, a producer asking again whether the drone insurance came through, and a client waiting for feedback on a rough cut that’s buried somewhere in a shared drive.
Creative production isn’t driven by dashboards. It runs on phone calls, screenshots, WhatsApp groups, and the quiet panic of knowing the call sheet you’re looking at isn’t the most up to date.
Today, CREA Services is rolling out something built precisely for that reality: a dedicated mobile app for freelancers and production companies, built from the first line of code around how film, photo, and creative jobs actually move from pitch to final delivery.
A Tool That Speaks the Industry's Language
Most project management tools were designed for software teams or corporate workflows. They treat a film shoot like a software sprint – anyone who's ever printed a call sheet at 5:30 a.m. knows the two are not at all the same
The CREA App isn’t. It’s a production-native workspace. A single place where a DoP in Berlin juggling three jobs at once, or a production company in Munich onboarding crew for a brand campaign, can run the entire job without switching tabs.
After months in development, the app is now in its final stages before public launch. Here's what's inside.
What's in the App
Job Market & Talent Pool
Companies advertise for jobs. Freelancers will apply. But instead of posting gigs into the ether of a generic job board, the CREA App keeps everything within a curated talent pool of vetted creative professionals – directors, camera operators, gaffers, photographers, editors, stylists. Freelancers control their profile and availability. Companies search and book directly, not third-party platforms.
Milestone-Based Project Management
A production is only as good as its deliverables. The Milestones tab allows teams to specify exactly what is due and when – first materials, rough cut, version 1, final delivery – so everyone on the job is on the same timeline. No more mismatched expectations about what “done” means, no more confusion about where the project really is.
Production Tab — Shotlist, Call Sheet, Live Weather
This is where CREA differentiates itself from any generic PM tool. The Production tab gives crews a live shotlist, a detailed call sheet, and weather by location, all in the same workspace where the team, the files, and the conversation already live. No export. No printouts emailed the night before. No 6 a.m. version confusion. on the set.
Crew Management
See who’s confirmed, who’s pending and who we’re still sourcing from the Talent Pool. At 10 p.m., a producer can see the rate, role and status of every crew member at a glance. Whether the job is staffed or still short a sound recorder on a Sunday.
Integrated Messaging
No more WhatsApp groups all over the place. No more email threads that lead to sub-threads that no one can keep track of. And the native messaging stays close to the work — findable, organized, and in context with the shotlist, the files, and the people it belongs to.
Files
Upload contracts, brand standards, location PDFs, reference images once and the whole team can access them right where the rest of the work lives.
Review
The project has a built-in video and photo review. Clients and collaborators leave feedback where the work actually lives – no external links, no “v_FINAL_final_2” filename chaos, no guessing which comment applies to which cut.
Brief AI
You write the brief Brief AI does the rest. Describe your production and the tool spits out structured documents on the fly: Shotlists, Call Sheets, Task Breakdowns, Equipment Lists — all downloadable as PDF, ready to send to your team.
One App. The Full Production Lifecycle.
It’s a straightforward pitch, and one the creative industry has been waiting on quietly. A single workspace that understands the shape of a production job, from the first casting call to the last delivered file — without forcing crews to cobble it together from five different tools that weren’t built for them in the first place.
